Ultimatum. Your ultimatum.
This past October and November have brought new experiences and drama that have really brought me many invaluable experiences and lessons learnt. Working different projects, one in the dramatic Victoria Theatre, going out, celebrating birthdays. So much to talk about so I anticipate this is going to be a pretty long entry:

I was asked to do media and stage at a kindergarten’s graduation. Yes, I know, I know, old news. But this first time-event for me was interesting indeed! I had to do the opening slideshow video for the parents. After 2 nights, sifting through 4300 high quality, large file size photos, narrowing them down to about 2500, and further narrowing them down to 400. Resizing and converting all of the 400 selected photos, one by freaking one. I was also tasked in doing backdrops for each individual performance item as well. Man. lest' to say I cut it close with all the media being finished just 4 hours before the graduation. (Which in turn, meant only 2 hours of sleep... Which, of course, didn't help much at all.

Well, tough work having to set up the projector and do image tests, shuttling between 2 floors just to keep adjusting the image settings between the laptop and the projector, 2 floors below. At the end, I would say that it was a pretty cool experience working in such an environment!

Speaking of tough work, I think the construction companies for HDB estates have been working too hard. Too hard until… well… this:

I do realize that I still have to blog about my house moving. More to come when I find my USB to actually transfer the photos into the computer. Heheh! Until then.

Today's Song: Looking Up - Paramore

MRT Watch: People need to be educated on why a holding pole is called a holding pole. Because it’s for HOLDING. Not leaning. HOLDING. H.O.L.D.I.N.G.

Confucius says: Grasshopper, life is a long journey that we all must walk through. I’m the smart one. I take the MRT.

In totally unrelated news:

There are many cockroaches near my house’s side gate. WHAT. WHAT ONLY. WHAT.

Tottenham 9 – 1 Hull City. WHAT. WHAT ONLY. WHAT.

After I get my N71, M1 announces they’re releasing the iPhone. WHAT. WHAT ONLY. WHAT.

Then, Starhub announces the same thing. WHAT. WHAT ONLY. WHAT.

At the end
I got me thinking about a few good things recently. Inevitably, it raised the question: how sad life would be if we all actually took everything for ourselves and didn't care enough about others around us. Just look at the european and western societies for example. They're invariably less happy as a collective society as compared to us. They think only inward, only to themselves. me first, they say. It doesn't really matter about you, what about me?

I recall the classic east vs west incident when my English cousins came over quite a few years back. we were eating lunch when our food all arrived. Seeing how my family shared samples of our food, my aunt asked her English husband "Kev, you want some of my fish?" to which my uncle replied curtly, "no! Why? What's wrong with it? You ordered it, you eat it". Well, needless to say a discussion on asian vs 'western' manners followed but that's the point.
We all live in an asian society after all. Like it or not, the culture's shackles of a collective thinking and a collective happiness is of more importance and priority over one's self. certain things are still best left unsaid. Which is why I absolutely hate it when a certain lecturer keeps gloating about how well he's being paid and how our expensive school fees are paying nicely for his living suite. Yeah, all that and he still treats us like shit.

Moving on, just a thought: ris low is o.v.e.r. She's still trying to thrust herself into the spotlight by "shingz". Epic fail. No matter how much you BOOMZ and SHINGZ or VAERTGOULKORZZYYZZ, ris, it's over. nice try, next please. Please proceed to the trashcan together with all the past 1 min Of fame has-beens

I know it's been old news, but soccer fans (especially the Liverpool ones) would recall the horrors of the kid that threw the beach ball on to the pitch, causing a deflection which resulted in a goal. Well.. good news. here's the kid for those of you who want to find him and bash his face in:

Thinking back on what someone said to me once, kids these days have broken tradition in their own way. We can't reach out to them like how our parents reached out to us or even how our grandparents reached out to our parents. This is why: A long time ago, people did not have technology. They bonded together over games and activities, just like we do today. However, there's a slight difference:

Yesterday: Marbles

Today: PSP Party.

MRT Watch: Ladies, if you wanna have your little congregation in a crowded MRT, get a table at a coffee house. Don't hop from row to row shaking hands with friends. Fidiots.

Confucius says: The path to righteousness is straight and narrow. I think it's time for road widening.

In totally unrelated news: Singapore said in 2007: Bye bye National Stadium.
November, 2009: Singapore 1 - 3 Thailand. Venue? NATIONAL STADIUM.
2 years on, still NOT demolished.
