Chinese new year
It's funny how many interesting people you can meet while having a nice long walk at East Coast Park. People actually getting drunk, making merry, and well, some just totally chilling out. So many family traditions happen on Chinese New Year that it's amazing - whether you're Chinese, Indian, Malay or otherwise.

CNY's a time for families, or what's left of a family to get together to remember the most important thing: at the end of the day, blood is thicker than water. I have my own traditions too. I believe in overnighting for the sake of my parents. Chinese believe if the children overnight to past midnight, he parents will live longer. I believe it's a time for me to remember what I have and have not. To appreciate what and how I have. Valentines day just made me reflect doubly hard then.

Anyways, a good start to the Chinese new year. Here's a big "cheers" to everyone reading, wishing you all the best for you and your family!

Remember.. If The Als comes to visit, please give bigger hong baos! Thanks!

East Coast is a stupid place to go on Chinese New Year. Seriously. On another note, now I know why you didn't sleep la! You were staying up late because of the customs thing!
